Fitness Inspiration: Detox Juice Recipe

Winters are usually a time to stuff ourselves and indulge our culinary cravings – given that one naturally feels hungrier during winters. Hence it is important to detoxify our bodies.
Detoxification eliminates wastes and harmful toxins from our bodies. It keeps our metabolism going and thus keeps us fit.
Here I’ll share a quick and simple detox juice recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Beet Root
- 1/2 Carrot
- 1/2 Apple
- Lemon juice to taste (optional)
- Mint leaves to garnish (optional)
Method:
- Slice beet root, carrot and apple
- Blend the three together in a blender/food processor till a smooth juice is obtained
- Optionally you may add a little lemon juice for taste
- Drain and enjoy your healthy detox juice!
- You may even garnish it with mint if you please!
Benefits of This Detox Juice:
- Beet roots, apples are high in fibre so will improve your intestinal mobility and eliminate toxins.
- Beet root is a great source of iron.
- Carrots are a wonderful source of vitamin A – a powerful antioxidant.
